Got back from Lynchburg on Sunday after spending the holiday weekend with the Kirstein side of the family at Pop's new house in the mountains. He is almost complete with renovation work and it was a much better improvement from last time we visited. Felt like we were at a resort instead of a cabin in the woods! It was the first time that Katie, Sara, Dean and Nora met the girls. So, there was a lot of holding and passing around so that everyone could meet both. Granny, Big Pop and Kara's friend Anna also ate lunch with us. This was the first overnight trip that we have gone on, Kellie had to make a checklist earlier that week to make sure that we would not forget anything. The trip went great and the girls were not bothered by sleeping at a strange place. So, the next overnight trip will be Christmas in Harrisonburg and Waynesboro... maybe they will be sleeping through the night then???
