Swimming lessons

We have enrolled the girls in parent and child swimming lessons at the local YMCA. With the warmer weather and our trips to the beach planned for the summer, we figured that it might be good to expose the girls to the water ahead of time. They really enjoyed the pool. At first they didn't know what to make of it; not really smiling but not fussing either.
Once we started lifting them up and down in the water and gave them "teething" rings they decided that they were having fun. The first lesson mainly consisted of getting them use to the water, splashing about and trying to blow bubbles under water. They didn't master the bubble blowing yet, but we were able to put their mouths under water and they didn't try to drink it, so that was a good start. We have seven more weeks of classes left and then we will be ready to hit the beach!!!
Mimi is also in town visiting. I met up with her and Kara for a day of shopping at the Williamsburg outlets on Saturday and then they all came back to our house to spend the night. The girls went to bed around 7:30pm and we enjoyed the warm evening out on the deck drinking some yummy adult drinks.
