Combat Crawl

Ashlyn has her own way of doing things, getting around is just one of them. We call her movement the "combat crawl". I don't know how else to explain it, but it is similar to the type of crawling that you see soldiers doing in combat to avoid getting shot. The girls are now noticing each other and usually want what the other is playing with at the moment. We are trying to teach them how to share... I am sure that it will probably be an ongoing lesson for quite a while. Notice how she first wants to check out the toy that Kennedy is playing with, pushes the baby doll aside and then gets side tracked by the ball. Funny!

The girls are really starting to enjoy table food. We are giving them pieces of meat, cheese, bananas, whole wheat bread, cheerios, corn, peas, green and lima beans. By far their favorite meal is cheddar cheese and ham with bread for lunch. It is nice to be able to give them food and have them feed themselves so that they can eat with us at the dinner table at the same time. They are getting much better about getting the food into their mouths and are even starting to take to the sippy cup. Thank goodness... I am ready to get them onto the sippy cup and off of the bottle. Now we just have to get them potty trained.... yeah right!

Oh- I added music to the blog, let me know if you have any requests! Just a tip, if you want to listen to the video without the music playing in the background you can go to the bottom of the page and turn it off. You can also select which song to play, if you don't like the one that the system picks automatically. Enjoy!
