After we woke up on Saturday. I took the girls to a local park. As we were eating our snacks the ducks came over to see what we were up to. Turns out that they like to eat grapes and honey gramhams. Kennedy and Ashlyn loved feeding them, it was quite entertaining for us all.
Ashlyn also got a chance to spend some time with her favorite baby cousin, Scott. She loves him so much! He is getting so big and is starting to laugh and smile more. Pretty soon he will be right there with the girls running around the place!
Part of the reason why we visited Harrisonburg that weekend was to help Tyler celebrate his 8th birthday. He had a party at the local bowling alley. It was the first time the girls have been bowling, and they actually had a fun time. They put bumpers down for all of the kiddos, and Jeremy and I took turns "helping" each of them roll the ball down the alley. At first the girls were not sure what to do. They wanted to kick the ball. After a couple of times, they got the idea that you had to push it and would say "go, go, go" before the ball slowly went down to hit the pins. After their turn, they would then run back and try to grab another ball to do it again!
One of the main highlights of the trip for Jeremy was his win on Saturday night at Shenadoah Speedway! He won first place in his race and his brother Chris also won first place in his! Here is a photo of Jeremy giving his thank you speech... thank goodness he didn't forget about the girls and me when thanking everyone! :-)
