Snow again!!

The Hampton Roads area almost never gets snow. I was listening to the local news station and the weatherman said on average about every 23 years the area gets more than 7 inches of snow. Well, this year was the year (for the record, he said that last significant snow was 21 years ago). It started late Friday night and by the time we woke up Saturday morning the ground was covered. We let the girls out for a bit, Ashlyn wasn't feeling too well, so we didn't want to make it worse. So we went outside while Jeremy shoveled the snow. It took more time getting them both dressed to go outside then they spent out there.

Ashlyn trying to walk around in the snow... it was a lot harder than she thought it would be.

Kennedy just decided to take a break. Notice her shoes.... make shift boots. I put plastic bag over their sneakers with duct tape wrapped around their calf holding it together. It sounds weird but it worked really well. It kept the snow out and their feet dry!

After dinner on Saturday night we fixed Snow Cream. It is basically fresh snow (make sure you don't get any "yellow stuff"), milk, vanilla, and sugar. The girls enjoyed making the making and eating the treat.
