Road trip

On Saturday we took a trip to Harrisonburg to visit Jeremy's side of the family. Grandpa and Grandma Grogg had family and friends over for lunch to meet the Kennedy and Ashlyn. With any trip, the preparation work to get ready is twice as much as normal. Before the girls arrived when we took a short day trip, we just got up and went. Now, planning has to be involved and the back of our SUV looked like we are going on an extended vacation.
We have discovered that both of the girls really enjoy riding in the car and slept the entire way up there and back. It was a test run for this coming weekend when we go to Lynchburg to meet Kellie's family for Thanksgiving. We are hoping that trip to be a breeze as well. While in Harrisonburg, the girls met their Great Grand Dad and made a new friend with Ivy Showalter. Kellie also celebrated her 30th birthday. Turning 30 wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be, just another day. :-)
