Fourth of July

We drove up to Harrisonburg to celebrate the 4th and to finally meet the girl's new cousin, Scott. Kennedy and Ashlyn were both very curious about him, but reacted very differntly to meeting their new cousin. Kennedy was very jealous especially when Jeremy held Scott. She was not happy about sharing her Daddy. Ashlyn thought that she was a "little mama", when asked if she wanted to hold Scott she would say "yes" and jump onto the sofa beside of me so that she could help hold the baby.
Grandpa Grogg was outside one morning watering his plants in his yard. Ashlyn and Kennedy both saw the water and immediately decided that he needed their assistance. They love playing with water and thought that Grandpa had brought out the hose for them, not the plants.
Jeremy raced on Saturday at Shenadoah Speedway. His car is the Green #81 and Chris, his brother's car is #83. Jeremy just gave his car a new paint job so he was excited to race with the new look. While Jeremy was getting ready for his race, Jennifer and I took all of the kids to a birthday party. They had a jump house and slip and slide set up in the backyard which thrilled the girls! They had a blast and burned off a lot of enery! Unfortunately we didn't really catch any fireworks shows this year. It is a little past the girls bedtime, we will have to do it next year! On Sunday Grandpa/Grandma Grogg hosted their annual July 4th cookout which we enjoyed as well.
